Trust that you are moving in the right direction. You are shaping yourself, supporting yourself, and you’re already on your way. You’re in a process of repositioning and becoming who you truly are, and for that you need time—to redefine yourself, to reveal yourself, to show who you are. With all this, we want to tell you, Oliver, to trust that even if you don’t yet see concrete signs of your independence, you are in that process. We know you’re going through something that isn’t pleasant—because it’s uncomfortable, because you’re constantly facing things, confronting them, experiencing crises. But this is your evolutionary process. You are going to evolve—you are evolving—and that’s what truly matters.
In the end, the means, the circumstances, the people around you… all of that is secondary. What we want to emphasize is that your focus shouldn’t be on what you’re achieving materially, but on how you yourself are transforming—on how you’re becoming someone completely different from who you used to be. That’s what matters. What’s important is that you evolve, regardless of whether you have money now or not. The final outcome will offer you many clues about how you’re doing, but you cannot define or evaluate yourself based on what you have in this moment.
It’s like planning a trip—say, a trip abroad to New York—and judging the whole experience by how the flight felt. The flight is just one part; it may influence the experience, but it doesn’t define the entire journey. The journey as a whole becomes clear only when you arrive at the destination, when you discover what’s waiting for you there that you hadn’t known before. So what we want to tell you is that right now you’re not in a position to evaluate or determine who you are, because you will only understand that once you reach the destination—once you become the new version of yourself. Then you’ll be able to assess and compare. But right now, you’re in the middle, in the process, in the journey. And the journey is full of uncertainty—you don’t know, you don’t know, and you don’t know. This is what we want to highlight so that you can adopt this perspective, because it will help you a lot.
If you know you’re in the journey, then when the job you want doesn’t appear yet, it’s simply because you’re still on the way—you’ll understand it once you reach the destination. If the kind of relationship you want hasn’t shown up yet, you’re still in the journey; you’ll see it when you arrive. What we want to remind you is that you are in the process—you are evolving, changing—and you’ll need time to develop this new part of yourself. So what matters now is that you keep taking these steps, keep moving in this direction, and trust that the final destination will be good for you.

You will feel that finally, yes, you’ve arrived, you’re there. There will still be changes—of course, nothing is ever completely static—but there will be an important shift within you.
